Top 10 List- November 15, 2019

Podcasts are one of my favorite things to listen to at work when I need to entertain myself or when I am on a long drive, so this week I’m highlighting some of my favorite podcasts to listen to. Let me know some of your favorites that I might have missed in the comments below.

I have been a fan of Lauren Conrad ever since her Laguna Beach, so when I heard she was coming out with a podcast this past Spring I was really excited, and her podcast did not disappoint.

Another Laguna Beach cast member, Lo Bosworth, has a great podcast. I first listened to Lo’s old podcast with her two friends, Lady Lovin’ (I prefer their earlier episodes if you want to go listen), before it ended. This new podcast has a similar feel of talking with women and experts about their wellness routines and tips.

Rounding out my Laguna Beach/The Hills theme is Whitney Port’s podcast, With Whit. I just discovered this podcast the other day when she had one of my favorite food bloggers, Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest, on her show. Even though I have only listened to a couple of episodes so far, I will definitely be coming back to this one.

When I first started hearing about podcasts from different people, Anna Faris is Unqualified was one of the ones that I kept hearing about. Depending on who’s on the show, I will sometimes skip to the part where she gives relationship or life advice (generally the last half hour of the show), but she almost always has someone interesting on the show and rarely ever has the same celebrity on twice.

Another celebrity with a great podcast is Dax Shepard and his podcast Armchair Expert. These episodes tend to be long (almost two hours sometimes) so they’re really good for long drives. I also generally listen only to the episodes with people that I know, but his expert episodes have been really interesting as well when I do listen.

As someone who is trying to figure out what they want to do with their life (hi quarter-life crisis!), listening to the Second Life podcast is really inspiring and gives me hope that I’m not the only one trying to figure it all out. I’ve listened to every episode of the podcast and they have all been amazing. I definitely recommend this podcast to anyone, even if you’re just looking to hear about how some of the women behind your favorite brands got to where they are today.

Another podcast that does a great job of exploring powerful women’s careers is Skimm’d From The Couch. Considering I love almost everything else that the Skimm does, it wasn’t a surprise to me that I loved their podcast too. This is another one that I haven’t missed an episode of and I highly recommend it.

The Bon Appetit Foodcast is a podcast that I generally listen to on days when I want to be cozy in bed or baking at home instead of sitting at my desk. While I haven’t listened to too many episodes of this podcast, the ones that I have listened to have been a good insight into the magazine and their recipes.

I first came across The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her podcast when my nutritionist recommended an episode that another nutritionist, Kelly Leveque, appeared on when talking about her book and her approach to nutrition. Ever since then, I have been working my way through the episodes that cover a variety of topics from finances, health, time management, and more.

I am normally not someone that seeks out listening to NPR, but when I came across their Life Kit podcasts, I gave them a try. Their Life Kit: All Guides podcast combines all of the topics they have covered separately in the past like health, financial wealth and much more, all in one podcast. I normally only listen to specific episodes that appeal to me, but there is a topic for everyone on the podcast.
