The Ultimate Itinerary for a Bachelorette Weekend in Savannah

This past Memorial Day, I was invited to my best friend Nicole’s bachelorette party in Savannah, GA. It was my first vacation since COVID started and was the perfect way to get back into traveling.
We started the long weekend on Friday, all arriving in Savannah at different times, so we spent the night loading up for the weekend at the grocery store, hanging out at our rental, and getting to know each other since many of us in the bridal party hadn’t met yet.
Saturday
We started the morning by walking though Savannah to the Farmer’s Market and stopping in Forsyth Park along the way. The Farmer’s Market was more on the medium size but had some good treats for everyone to try. We then walked to a nearby neighborhood and found The Blue Door Coffee & Waffles, a small coffee shop that serves waffles as sandwiches, pizzas, and more.
After finding our way back through town and taking a ton of pictures in Forsyth Park, we walked to downtown Savannah, stopping in different shops like Savannah Bee Company and The Paris Market, Savannah. We also stopped for lunch at Tequila’s Town Mexican Restaurant before walking to our next spot.
After lunch, we made our way through town over to Ghost Coast Distillery. We decided to share multiple flights of different cocktails to try everything we could, which ended up working out great for our group. After playing cards for a bit and finishing our drinks we headed back to our rental to get ready for our night out.
Our first stop for the night was our Boos Cruise, our pedal wagon tour where we were told the city’s ghost stories in between stops at different bars. This was a really great way to see the town and learn more about the history, and they took you to plenty of bars- just note that you pay for your drinks, though they do get you discounts on a couple local favorites for you to try. We continued the night stopping at different bars down by the river (it was a bachelorette party after all) before eventually heading back to the rental.
Sunday

On Sunday morning Nicole and her sister Alexis surprised us with a DIY Body Scrub experience at Salacia Salts, a local natural skincare store with products created right in Savannah. We all got to try out different scents and textures to make everything personalized to us. While I definitely recommend making time for this, even if you don’t, stop into one of their two locations to see all of the different fun products they carry.
Next we took Ubers over to Tybee Island for a beach day. It was a little overcast that day but it definitely helped with the crowds so it wasn’t crazy busy. The water was pretty warm for early in the season too, so it was nice to be able to get in.
Monday
Monday morning we cleaned up the rental and made sure our bags were packed before heading out to brunch at The Collins Quarter in Forsyth Park. We did our best to get there at opening time since we saw on Saturday morning that the line can get very long. I definitely recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, although everything everyone got was amazing.
We then walked back to the Riverfront area to explore some more. We stopped in some different shops, hit up Savannah Bee Company for even more goodies, and made a stop at Tandem Coffee and Spirits, a coffee and cocktail bar. Nicole and I shared a Blackberry Mojito which was one of the best drinks we’d had all weekend.
Eventually it was time to head back to the rental to grab our stuff and go our separate ways. After saying our goodbyes, Nicole and I headed to the airport together where we had one more stop at Leopold’s Ice Cream. We had heard about their ice cream as one of the places we had to stop in Savannah and luckily there’s one right in the airport before you go through security. I definitely get why people talk about it so much after having it for myself- don’t miss it!
Savannah was the perfect choice for a bachelorette party and a really cool city to explore in general. A long weekend there was the perfect amount of time for a first trip there, but I would love to go back and explore.
